Vaccination Information for Bash

Whenever a lot of dogs get together, there is always the possibility of picking up an illness such as kennel cough. (This happened at a Bichon Bash in another part of the country.) For this reason, we recommend that you ask your vet for the precautions you should take for your beloved dog(s).

Do this soon since some vaccinations (including Bordetella, or kennel cough) take a few weeks to become fully effective.

Here is a list of vaccines and preventatives you may want to discuss with your veterinarian:

Rabies vaccine Flea and tick preventatives
Bordetella intranasal vaccine Heartworm preventative
Distemper vaccine (including lepto) Lyme vaccine
Parvo vaccine

This is not to scare anyone off, but to suggest preparations that will make the Bash safe and enjoyable for everyone.
