On July 8, 2006 Maryland Bichon Frise Rescue, Inc. lost our beloved friend and President, Marilyn (Mena) Chu after a lengthy illness. Mena took over the reins of MBFR in 2002 and worked full-time helping bichons in need while also working a full-time job and being a loving mother to her two daughters and four rescued dogs (2 bichons and 2 PWD mixes). Mena could not say "no" to any bichon that needed a new home, and she fostered many of them until she found the family that was perfectly suited for each bichon's individual needs. Until then, not only did they get wonderful veterinary care but Mena would work on their training and socialization skills. When it came to bichons, her love was tireless even when her energy started to give out.
Marilyn (Mena) ... we miss you very much and hope you are blitzing and playing with all of the bichons at the Rainbow Bridge!
Your donation will be used by Bichon Rescue to help bichons in crisis.
